Dearest MaRiky

It was my great privilege to work with the incredible Louisa Zondo on her monumentally powerful and brave memoir, Dearest MaRiky: A Mother’s Journey through Grief, Trauma and Healing.

Louisa can be credited as one of the co-founders of the New South Africa, in that she was amongst the leadership that helped to consult the people of the country and then write the Constitution of the newly democratic nation during the 1990s.

She has lived a fascinating life as a senior official in government as well as a working on several international bodies.

She has also experienced great personal trauma, much of which she suppressed over many years, as she lived out her various roles in the vanguard of leadership in the emerging new nation. She is also the mother of the late rapper Riky Rick, who tragically took his own life in 2022.

I was priviliged to work with Louisa on this project as editor/ghostwriter/writing coach. We were able to pull this incredibly taxing book project together in record time on a crazy tight deadline with great success.

Check it out if you are ready for something challenging, but inspirational.
