Safrea presents: GG Alcock
Awesome speaker at the next Safrea event! We host GG Alcock, author of Third World Child at the Library, Brazen Head Sandton, tomorrow night.
GG grew up in a Zulu community in Msinga, KZN. Today, he runs Minanawe Marketing, an events and activation agency for the mass market.
Third World Child, his story about “being truly African even as a white person” was longlisted for this year’s Alan Paton Prize. Blue Horizon Pictures, a UK production company, recently acquired the film rights.
Books will be on sale at R250 each (and a signed copy would make a great gift, so bring cash – December is not too far away!).
“Astonishing. Alcock has written the first report from the new South Africa”~ Rian Malan.
