40 years of Ramones!
40 Years ago today, The Ramones played their first show at New York rock venue CBGB’s.
Their blend of mindlessly simple punk-pop and black nihilism set the template for punk music and all its facsimiles for decades to come. The last surviving member of the original line-up, Tommy Ramone died earlier this year.
