UJ Book Launch

We had a really cool launch for Marrying Black Girls For Guys Who Aren’t Black at the University of Johannesburg.

Thanks to the UJ Library And Information Centre and MFBooks/Jacana, which jointly facilitated the launch. It was well attended by an intelligent, engaged and inquisitive young, black audience.

This is the video of the event – it’s just under an hour long, if you’re in the mood to indulge me. I kick things off with a little spoken-word bit and then the format is Q&A between me and Portia the facilitator. Then there are numerous questions from the audience.

All in all, a fascinating evening that helped me come to a better understanding of my own book.
